Finding your Next Job-- and the Next!
Are you looking for a job? Will you be looking at some point in the future? If you aren’t looking now then you probably will be-- unless you are retired.
First Presbyterian Church is offering four special sessions on “Finding Your Next Job-- and the Next!” These are free to the public, and all our neighbors are invited.
No matter what your field of work, you should learn all the best tactics for finding a good job, negotiating your salary and benefits, and what to do even while you have a good job to get ready for the next one!
Join us if you want to learn about how to find a job before it gets advertised, how to build a network that can help you manage your career, how to put together resumes, letters and emails, how to get the offer and how to negotiate the best compensation.
Phil Gittings, a Certified Five O’Clock Club Counselor who has worked with job seekers in all kinds of industries for almost 20 years, will offer four one-hour seminars on Thursday evenings at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel beginning on July 11.
Topics to be covered:
July 11 - Planning and beginning a successful job search.
July 18 - Getting interviews using applications, mail/email campaigns, and networking.
July 25 - The art of the job interview-- how to make things happen for you!
August 1 - Interview follow-up: getting the offer and negotiating your next great job!
This is for every adult who wants to have a great career-- and it’s free from First Presbyterian Church. YOU ARE INVITED TO ANY OR ALL OF THESE EVENTS.
