“An Evening of 1812 Music & History"
October 16 at 7pm at First Presbyterian Church of Buffalo (One Symphony Circle, Buffalo NY 14201)
First Presbyterian, Buffalo’s first religious congregation, is also celebrating its bicentennial. Church historian Bruce McCausland will introduce the program, followed by a performance of 1812-period music by the popular piano and violin duo, the Docenko Brothers. Then, Thomas Schofield, a member of the executive committee and immediate past chair of the Niagara 1812 Bicentennial Legacy Council, and David Franczyk, Fillmore District Councilmember for the City of Buffalo Common Council, will discuss the local and international impact of the War of 1812.
The event is free and open to the public.
