First Presbyterian Church of Buffalo will host a monthly Neighborhood Cleanup Day on the fourth Sunday of each month beginning March 25, 2012 at 12:15 p.m. Neighbors from the Allentown Association, Kleinhans Community Association, and West-side Buffalo residents are invited to gather in the church’s chapel at 12:15 PM. First Presbyterian Church’s mission committee will provide garbage bags, gloves, and refreshments. Participants will walk around the Symphony Circle neighborhood and pick up litter until approximately 1:00 p.m., then return to church to share refreshments and fellowship. All are welcome, no reservations are required.
“First Presbyterian Church is committed to doing everything we can to serve the community around us,” said Rev. Dr. Philip S. Gittings, the church’s Interim Pastor. “We see this new effort as just one more way we can share with our neighbors to improve the quality of our life together.”
